Was recommended by a trusted local who is himself a mechanic. Sorely disappointed. -- Paid 749.90 in 05/25 for full exhaust repair, has since fully fallen apart Paid 273.75 for a tune up in 9/25, main component being spark plugs which are deemed needing replacement less than 10k miles later Brought to them with issue of several dash lights on in 12/25, was told it was a sensor, they replaced the sensor and dash lights remained, they said "dont know, everything seems fine," refused further diagnosis despite my willingness to pay and sent me on my way for $25, next shop immediately identified a serious safety issue with both front wheel bearings.... Chose to spend the extra money to have another shop perform repairs rather than discuss warrantied replacement given these continued issues. Would not recommend to anyone.

I was charged for a Rhode Island vehicle inspection before my car was registered. I was explicitly told that once the vehicle was registered, I could simply stop by and pick up the inspection sticker. After registering the vehicle, I called to confirm and was met with an extremely combative attitude. I was then told I would need to pay again for a second inspection. This was never disclosed upfront. The business was not transparent and took advantage of the fact that I was unfamiliar with RI registration requirements. I would not recommend doing business here.

If there was a 0 star option you guys would get it dont bring your car here ive spent over $10,000 with these people to fix my car for one problem and every time I get it back the problem was either still there or fixed and another problem magically came up when the car was in the shop even tho the car would be fine before bringing it there. My last ever trip to d&m I had brung them my car for upper radiator heater core elbows cheap and easy fix which was causing my car to over heat which I never ran my car hot. So they fix that then I drive out of the parking lot and my thermostat and upper radiator hose explode(didnt bleed the cooling system) so I go back they fix it I have to pay hundreds of more dollars for a stupid repair which was there mistake, 5 mins after leaving I get my car and its misfiring I get home and notice its over heating again so I look around and find that theres a crack in the bottom the radiator once again from these people not bleeding the cooling system they blew my head gasket and radiator. I can do the work at home but it was to cold at the time so I changed the radiator myself a few days later just for my head gasket to be blown so when I went to d&m and

Well, I have to edit this review because I was wrong (mostly). Still not a fan of them not finding my appointment and then calling me back to return to the shop when they did, but they did fix the problem with the fuel gauge and for a reasonable price. I am sorry I wrote the negative review and will definitely use them again. Mea culpa D&M!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had been going to them in the past with no serious issue, but then this. Had my car checked for a leak, at first was told it was the power steering rack, paid 1700 to have it fixed. Wasn’t fixed. Had it looked at again, said it was the power steering pump. Paid 800 to have it fixed. Still leaking. Had it looked at a final time, now it’s the front differential and they don’t do this work. When questioned why I paid 2500 to not have my car fixed, got attitude. Please don’t waste your time or money. The worst part is the lack of accountability for their own errors (“I’ve been doing this for 50 years, if you don’t like the service, don’t come back”). Just awful experience all around.
